Review :: Saving Grace (Mad World #2) by Christine Zolendz

After spending over 2,000 years being a lost soul looking for the angel I was forbidden to fall in love with, I finally found him.

Lucky for me he has taken up residence inside the hot body of NYC’s local bad boy, tattooed rock star, Shane Maxton.

Turns out, not only is he absolutely perfect, so is the whole Grace Taylor life that I’m stuck in.

The only problem is Gabriel. An archangel who wants me all to himself so he kind of kidnaps me.

Now I have to find my way back and hope everything works out…

Fall from Grace (Mad World #1) ~ released 22 July 2012

My Reveiw

Saving Grace is the second book in the Mad World Series by Christine Zolendz and the follow up to Fall from Grace (Book #1) which I absolutely adored right down to the core of my soul. When I saw that Saving Grace was available from Amazon I went all psycho and scared the life out of my family when I woohoo'ed loudly and did the sitting dance...

If you thought Fall from Grace was one of the best books of 2012 (which I totally did) then you have another thing coming... Saving Grace completely tops Fall from Grace... in fact it's totally off the charts awesome and I didn't once... not even for a second put it down. Did an all-nighter and when I woke up this morning reread the last 3 chapters again just to make sure that it wasn't all a dream.

With about 244 pages it's not a really long book and I'm mildly depressed about that. Could easily have eaten up so much more of Grace and Shane's story :)

Saving Grace takes off from where Fall from Grace ended (which was such a hanger I couldn't believe it was even legal to do that)... I love that there were no lost moments between Grace and Shane and that we were pulled right back into story. I loved that Christine Zolendz didn't waste time getting right into the action and she didn't bore me with rehashing scene's from Fall from Grace. I completely hate it when a second book spends half of it's pages telling us (who have already read it BTW) what happened in the first book. Argh it grinds me! BUT Christine didn't torture me with any of that nonsense and I thank her for that. Saving Grace began with guns blazing and my adrenaline spiked from the first page :)

At the end of the first book Grace discovers that Shane is... well (if you've read the book you know. If you haven't don't worry I wont spoil it)... Let's just say she is awoken to who Shane really is. In the second book something happens, words are said and Grace completely goes off the rail with heartache. What a way to grab a reader from the first chapter!

There were at least a dozen moment's where I went 'hold-up' and backtracked to reread the scene because it was so freaking awesome. Shane is my boy and I was falling in love with him the entire time Grace was and the best part? I didn't even feel jealous towards Grace that she has Shane... you know why? Because I simply adore Grace and I was even prepared to dump Shane from my book boyfriend list if he didn't open his eyes and heart to Grace in the end. Grace is honestly one of my favorite female characters of all time. She is sexy, feisty and sweet with a twist of badass and heart thrown into the mix.

Don't even get let me get started on the hottttt sexy scene's... like Grace... it made me cum-bust... it was less graphic than most love scene's in other books... but sooo much better.... I honestly felt my guts pull tight as I read it and I had to fan my face the whole freaking time. Perrr...fection!

"Then let me in, because I promise you, I will pick up every little broken piece of you, every single effing piece, Grace, and for the rest of my effing life I will put you back together... I'll make you whole again."

If you haven't yet read Fall from Grace (Mad World #1) then go get it right now. You cannot go wrong with this series and I'm so looking forward to Shane's POV. I'd love to know a couple of things from his side and I'm so glad I'm going to be getting that opportunity!

I'm also in love with the new cover design for Fall from Grace and OMG the cover of Saving Grace... I stared at it for about 10 minutes just thinking of Shane and almost cutting out a picture of myself and Photoshopping my face on Grace's body (lol)

Saving Grace is one of my favorite books for 2012 and it's going to be hard to top it.
